PDM Produce is one of the leading lettuce growers in the UK as a result of focusing on growing the highest quality lettuce and providing a superior personal service. Its customer base is comprised of retailers (major and minor), food service, processors and wholesale outlets.

Iceberg, romaine, little gem, lollo rossa, lollo verdi, red lettuces and other speciality varieties form the product range.

Based in Shropshire, in the heart of England, PDM has a vast resource of fertile land. Being in a non traditional salad growing region and the long crop rotations used the soils remain near virgin for lettuce reducing the problems of disease build up and therefore the levels of additional inputs required. This central location is also ideal for national distribution and reducing food miles.

The company prides itself on being a quick response, customer focused business. The management structure is designed to ensure that crops are grown to exact customer specifications, taking into account all aspects of size, weight, shape, colour and naturally taste. Many years of ongoing trials into different varieties has produced a robust lettuce variety portfolio to not only satisfy but pre-empt customer requests.

As demand is for 12 months PDM Produce provides its customers with a year round solution through its own farming operation in Portugal and growers in Spain.
